This is a RAILING element.  To be honest, I wasn;t sure how (or if I could) export a railing as a family, so I attached a Revit file with the railing embedded.  This is the Kawneer 1600 Sunshade (brise soleil).  Enjoy

This is a complicated, parametric louvered shutter.  It may have some glitches, but please let me know so I can repair them.

There are three options for look.  The formula works such that it will see if you selected "Equal Panels" First, if not it will see if you selected "Square Panel" (top area square), and if not it will use the value for panel height entered.  

The family will automatically adjust the louvers to the size of the opening.
