Graphic Scale - one size fits all

Graphic Scale - one size fits all

This is a type driven graphic scale where all scales are within one file (vs the OTB version with many different ones). Simple is better.

FORGOT I COULDN'T UPLOAD ZIPS.  Apologies.  Attached is only ONE scale.  Here is the link to a forum post that includes the zip download:

Please understand, THIS DOES NOT AUTO-DETECT SCALE.  You have to load each .rfa into your project, then make new view title types for each scale, and for each view manually select the view title that corresponds with its scale.  This is not as tedious or error-prone as it sounds, however.   Just a few minutes of setup.

View Title - 1/4" Title & Number

This View Title should be a modified Revit standard:

())> Drawing Number is 1/4" tall w/ enlarged circle (versus the Revit standard 1/8")

())> View Title is 1/4" tall (versus the Revit standard 1/8")

())> Scale readout is 1/8"tall (stayed the same as the Revit standard)

If you need other fonts, just edit the family.

If you need other lineweights edit the family and/or Visual Graphics in your project if you wish.

HOW I WOULD INSTALL (follow at your own risk):

  • Download
  • Open in Revit Famliy Editor
  • Inspect and/or modify
  • (with a project up and running)Upload into project
  • Go to the Element Properties dialog window of a Viewport (ie right-click the viewport)
  • Select "Edit Type..."
  • Select and pull down the menu under Title Type Parameter Value
  • Select the custom View Title and "Okay" your way out of the screens

CHEERS!

ViewTitle for Detail Box

ViewTitle for Detail Box

Sorry, haven't upload for a while. The site said that I can upload 10 files maximum, I had upload only two of three, the image file and the empty box family, and don't know why the View Title didn't upload.I tried again and no avail. I have to create another new upload for the View Title.

Please download this one with the previous one which has the empty boxes. Then follow the directions in the other upload " View Title with Detail Box". Sorry.
