Something is strange about the glass. Even when the material is set correctly transparent and it shows up transparent in the 3D non-rendered show solids view, it displays as a solid when rendered. I've played with the light source elevation, changing materials, various rendering options.... same problem. I noticed that creating a new rendering scene after changing glass materials, made the glass clear, but the light was still not glowing through the glass. I created a lightbulb that works perfectly. When I rendered the lightbulb hovering over the lamp, the light shone through and cast a glass projection on the floor. When I put the lightbulb below, I could see it through the glass, but it was acting as though it was a solid (no light shining through.) Is there some way to set a solid as unidirectional? Why is this lamp so temperamental?!!! BTW the other arts/crafts lamp seems to have the same problem. Revit 9.1

The problem is the light source is smack in the middle of the (SOLID) Support rod that holds the lamp shade in place, the light source needs to be moved to one side or the other of it. I placed two light source, one to eather side and it worked perfectly......and this was on both lamps.......Hope it helps.
