A Pretty Simple Wall Based Family to place a Mantel (No Fireplace Surround) on a wall above a fireplace. Family has basic parameters for materials, width and depth of mantle piece. The design is just a quick simple Sketched Profile based on an existing job I was trying to match, but you can obviously change it to whatever profile you like...If you change the profile be sure to check and realign/lock the extruded top piece to the back of the profile to maintain a solid top. Hope that helps someone...there was really nothing here before. Also, sorry this is in 2014...I don't have an older version available on this computer. |

Just as an additional comment, this wall hosts to the center of the wall on which it is place...this allowed me to get the return I was looking for on this specific mantle design, so the depth of the mantle parameter is based on the centerline of the hosting wall...just FYI.
