Afternoon ladies and gents......
Its been a few days since my last upload but i thought whats the heck, i'll treat you all.
Here we have a nice modern light chandelier. As with all my families i've added material parameters for the bulb, main material and glass shade.
I've also added a ceiling drop dimension parameter which is an instant parameter so you can have the same family in one model but at different heights.
THIS IS A FACE BASED FAMILY, SO TO LOAD ONTO A CEILING, OPEN UP THE CEILING LAYOUT AND LOAD ON FACE.
alot of people keep saying it only loads onto wall, no it doesnt. |

I got bored and wanted to make a server cluster. Here's a free Dell C6100 - 12 harddrive node. It is a 2U rack with accurate real-world dimensions (LxWxH) Its kind of a big file, but I wouldn't expect a lot of people to actually use it in Revit, just kind of cool to see and I had fun making it.
The rest are on my link:

This is the ‘one’ leaf that some people asked for. It is nested in the leaf 1 family that I upload not long ago. One can create few types for the leaf with deferent angles and material and insert back to the Leaf 1 family.

This is my first upload so please be gentel. This is a simple family that allows you to place a shower partition with a curb on 4 sides and glass for the partition, in a room. You can change a lot,
- Curb Heights - independent on all 4 sides
- Curb depth
- Overall Height
- Overall Width (you should be able to use align and lock to make it stretch.
- 2 - Panel or 3- Panel glass partition
- Each partition door has a 2D 45 degree rep for plan view.
- Each partition configuration allows you to put in two override dimensions that I will try to explain.
- Override Panel Width - If you need one of the panels to be say "6" use this to do that. When this is set to 0 it should return to equal equal.
- Override Door Width - If you need the door to be a certain width say 30" enter it here.
This model is not foolproof, although I did do a few basics to keep people out of trouble, like a minimum door height and glass thickness. But if you try to specify a panel override width and a door override width on the 2 panel with the curbs locked to the wall it will probably break. However if you do that on the 3 panel, the 3rd panel will take up the slack.
Please leave your comments for me. Thanks. |

I was given the task to get the legend components to read text or type mark and have the Legend and the floor plan both reading same tag text! What it does is let me label the window say W1 in the window family for the WINDOW TYPE. Add a window tag it reads W1 in the tag. Finally when I insert that window into the window legend I have a text defaulty in that family to read the type so it says under the window W1 and any time I read number my window tags they all will update in a blink of an eye!Used for any Legend Component like Door, Window, Wall types!I've read in these forums that people are not using the Legend for WALL TYPES or Window Elevations, Door Elevations. I know you still can't Dim. walls in the legend but you can link a text into any item to report that item TYPE in the legend, to schedule, in the plans and change it once!Use Model text in the family to link to a shared parameter, then in the tag's label link that text to the shared parameter and you have yourself a link text and label tag!Copy Paste the Model Text into any window family you might have now by using model text in that window family, use a shared parameter to link that text to and link a window tag family text label to that shared parameter BAM BAM! You got it! |

Wind turbine 6 feet in diameter, wall constraint
Some people say that wind turbines are a sore eye, but what if you place wind turbines in commercial sculptures or contemporary pillars/monoliths, we can have them but almost hiding them.

Hey guys, I noticed that someone posted a Parametric Slab Family in here, but nobody could've download it. Apparently it was a fake.
A while ago I managed to get a real Parametric Slab Family (with joists and bricks), but I don't remember from where or who is the author, but I decided to post it here, so other people could use it too.
PS: I DIDN'T DEVELOPED THIS FAMILY, SO, IF THE AUTHOR SHOWS UP AND ASK ME TO REMOVE IT, I WILL REMOVE IT.
How to use: Load the family "Laje_de_Forro_Parametric_Slab_17204.rfa" in the project and create a Beam System. Change the Beam Type to "Vigota Treliçada..." and you will see the joists. Use Fixed Distance of 0,43 m. Then select one or all the joists (not the beam system) and you will see the option "Visibilidade da Lajota" in the bottom of the Properties Panel. Check it to enable the brick. That is it.
----------------------------------------------------
