Description: I am new to r2009.  I am learning to be careful of what phase lignts are inserted at and make sure the the rendering has the same phase and appropriate view filters or else they don't cast any light (of course).  this rendering was at medium resolution, daylight portals on.  (of course you probably know this but to find the daylight portals, render/setting/edit/then scroll all the way down in "render quality settings").  I didn't see the scroll bar and couldn't find it.
