Description: This is a made-up house showing real sky background, snow, and a conical roof.
The trick with the roof is just to make a many-faceted, cone-like pyramid. Then the render material goes nicely -- unlike a revolve. All the sketch lines "define slope" except the back line.
I made the snow material more transparent and reflective than stock.

Interesting little project. With winter coming, I have thought about doing a snow scene. It would be neat to get some snow on the roof and trees, and I think the snow on the ground is a little too smooth and shiny, more like an ice rink. Perhaps you could get some lumps and bumbs into it(maybe even footprints!), a little snow drift and a more 'moody' winter sky?

The snow is actually just a ground plane. I should try to redo it with topography.
Another trick is to turn the sun setting way down. and add cloudiness. This helps make the shadows weaker.
Also, it's not a real project. I was challenged to make a conical roof and got carried away.
