I want to maintain a library of AutoCAD 2008 2d typical details and link them into drafting views in Revit Struct 2008. DWG files are drawn with lineweights by color and all linework is drawn with color "bylayer". I haven't had luck in Revit using the File>Import/Export Settings>Import Lineweights DWG/DXF as all linework imports to a single line thickness. As I repeatedly import many files, how do I control lineweights in Revit without teadiously changing the lineweights of each layer in each imported file? Using Visibility/Graphics Overrides for every imported file is very slow.

Whoops. I am wrong. File>Import/Export Settings>Import Lineweights DWG/DXF does control lineweights. Make changes to settings prior to loading links.
