I am trying to create a flight of stairs that goes through 4 floors of a commercial building. The first floor height is 16' and the rest are all 12' high. I am trying to create ONE set of stairs that goes through all the floors. However, I am unable to just sketch the stairs in Revit. I set my properties-- Base Level 1; Top Lever 4. But When I try and sketch it, the message that shows up is "Highlighted lines overlap. Lines may not form closed loops."

Attached is a 3D image of what I am trying to do, and also a plan view.

I suck at drawing stairs but as far as I know, you can' t draw a continious set of stairs for more than one level like that.

There is a value parameter on the stair properties (multistory top level) where as one level is adjusted the others will change. You might have to draw one set of stairs for your first level then work with the multistory parameter for the next three. I hope there is an easier way to do this, maybe someone else will chime in.
