I want to be able to put information (text mainly) on my drawnigs that I can see on my screen but do not print. This is useful to show loads and in-house comments/reminders. I understand that "hide in view" is a method to do this but the downfall is you have to remember to hide everything before you print and remember to look at hidden items when you are working ... both cumbersome. Is there a way to filter a linetype or create non-printing linetypes? Thanks in advance for your tips!

Your only options are either the default <Invisible Lines> line type or to create a line type that plots as white. both of these are only visible if you hover over them, which doesnt work to well for in house notes. The only other thing that I have done is create "Drafter's Notes" on our default template that says do such and such at project start up and then delete this note. I got overly use to useing the non plot layers in Autocad, but as far as I am aware these are the only ways to replicate something along those lines. HTH Nick

You could try to duplicate the view and put all your notes on the duplicate view and plot the original view.
