Hi,

I'm using Revit Arch. 2008; I've created a wall assembly and aligned and locked the interior face of the wall to a gridline.  I want to change one of the components of the wall assembly, however, the new assembly makes the wall a few millimeters thicker than the original wall.  The problem I'm having is that rather than expanding out away from the grid to the exterior, the wall is being shifted off of the grid line I locked it to.  Does anyone know if there is a setting or a way to have the size expansion occur on the exterior of the wall rather than from the centre?  or way to have the wall stay on the grid regardless of how it is resized or changed?  Thanks in advance

Go to the properties of the wall and change the Location Line to Finish Face Interior or Core Face Interior depending on which face you want to remain aligned with the grid line.
