I'm using the latest version of Revit and wondering if there is a way to put an element on a defpoint layer? Specifically, I have a window I want to keep in plan but that I do not want to print out. When I hide the element, there is still a hidden line visible in the wall and I can't hide that without omitting some wall lines that need to show up in the final plot. Is there any way to do this besides creating a special phase for the window or just deleting it and adding it in later?

You could draw a "Plan Region" around the window and set the cut plane to below the bottom of the window. This should make the window dissappear in plan view. Keep in mind that doing this will not remove it from 3D View or schedules.
