Is there a way (Formula)To make a line with a dash, space, W, space for a representation of waterlines ,etc. on the site plan? Or what are others doing to represent utilities

For now, the only options available are dashes and solids for custom line types. Hopefully they'll make a way to make any type of custom line soon.

You can use the repeating detail tool in 6.0 to do this.

If there is a particular line styles you’re currently using in AutoCAD and you'd like to us it in Revit also. 1. Draw the line in a cad drawing. 2. And save the file. 3. Call it LINETYPE.dwg 4. Open a session of Revit and import that saved file. Now delete it. This new line style appears under SETTINGS_LINEPATTERNS. Unfortunately the aforementioned linestyle will not work because of the character "W" embedded in the linestyle. This method can be used when making a company default template with certain linestyles preloaded. Keep in mind the most commonly used linestyle are come with Revit.
