SINCE NO ONE WILL PROVIDE A SAMPLE HIGH-RISE FILE, I am using the BNIM Freighthouse file provided with my version of Revit. It is a wonderful project, but I am only practicing and doing renderings in one apartment, and the file is 82 MB. When I delete portions of the building the file seems to only get larger. I really only want the pieces concerned with this one apartment to remain, but I don't want to use a section box as I've found that causes other problems. Any help? Thank you.

hello revit learner. why dont you do a save as and work on the copy , then you will still have the original untouched. alter the copy ( delete all floors, elevations sections etc that dont apply, except for the 1 apartment you are working on.) you could do a purge unused, that should also reduce file size. it wont matter if u stuff it up as you will still have the original ( because you made a copy). cheers geoffm
