HEY EVERYONE!

I AM GLAD THAT THIS RESOURCE IS AVAILABLE.  I'M TRYING TO CREATE TEMPLATES FOR OUR SPEC. SHEETS. DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE SPEC. SHEETS AND DIFFERENT PROJECTS THEY NEED TO BE MODIFIED. WHEN YOU CREATE THEM USING THE "TEXT" OPTION IN TITLEBLOCK EDITING MODE YOU CAN NOT MODIFY THE TEXT ONCE THE SHEET IS LOADED INTO THE PROJECT........OR CAN YOU?  PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS, OR TIPS ON HOW I CAN GO ABOUT DOING THIS IT WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED.

RW

Don't do text like specs in REVIT.  It is not ready to do that at this time.  Do these in a text editing program and print to a jpeg that you insert on your REVIT sheet.

There is a way to add editable text to a title block and it has to do with shared parameters. They appear as blue text in your project sheet and can be shown on a schedule (such as the sheet number). I don't know the best way to do this as I have little experience with shared parameters.

In general, I agree with WWHub. If you have really tiny specs you might want to just call them out in a legend (like general notes). Either way, you might be looking in the wrong direction to accomplish what you like with title block editing. I would only go that route if you need some kind of schedulable information from these sheets.
