I have created a schedule to calculate the total gyp wall board count for all of my walls. Is there anyway to tell Revit to include the area of the openings in the take off? This is how i account for my waste in my manual take offs.

Here is a biot of a work around. Create a door and window schedule. Add height and width to the schedules. Create a calculated parameter called Area (height * width) for each one. Total the area fields and add that to your wall schedule. Unfortunately, Revit is making you use the "pencil and paper" command with this. It would be much easier if they allowed you to put wall height into the schedule. The problem, of course is that if a wall has an uneven height. HTH
