I am just starting to learn this program, have used ADT in the past. I am trying to understand how families are created, shared and organized.

My question is - How do I share modied families, ie walls, annotations, etc. with established projects. I do not understand were "system" familes are saved / modified.

My goal is to create an ongoing data base for all new projects created, but in the meantime I want to load these improvements into my ongoing projects.

My biggest beef has been redefining the default font "Arial" for annotation.

RocketDog, hello again, the system families, ie, viewports, walls, other annotation are stored with in the project. what i have done is as a complete a project with something that i have modified, ie. walls, piping, mechanical settings, etc . . . (i should also state im using revit arch and mep) is transfer them to a master template that i use to start all future projects with. all that you have to do to transfer the project standards to another project or template is have either both projects or the project and the template open and while on(it is selected) the project/template that you want these system families is go file -> transfer project standards -> then simply select the project you want them from if you have multiple open click ok and then a dialog box will open asking what exactly you want to transfer, i usually transfer them all because i sometimes overlook other things i have changed that streamline the process. hth again
