I am trying to create a parameter that will put an "X" in my drawing list if a sheet was associated with a revision. I have a revision schedule built into my titleblock. The drawing list would have a column for each revision or submission of the set and if a sheet was issued or revised, there would be an x in that column. Does anyone know what I would have to do to achieve this? I am using Revit Architecture 2008. Thanks.

I have not found an automated way of doing this (i.e. reading the rev schedule and filling out the drawing list), but it can be done. You will need a Yes/No parameter for each revision (doesn't need to be named anything special, 'Issue 1' is fine). Add this parameter to your schedule, and make it a hidden column. Add a Calculated Value to your schedule. Again, naming isn't important here, you can change the heading to read how you like. The formula should be *if(Issue 1, "X", "")*. If Issue 1 is checked (the parameter will show up in the instance properties of the sheets), it will place an 'X' in the cell.
If you have more than a few sheets/issues, I would create a duplicate schedule to work in with the Yes/No parameter columns visible.

We have a revised sheet index in our project. See attached.

1. From the schedule edit dialog box, add the field for "Current Revision Issued". (this will be a hidden column)
2. Add a Calculated Value named "REVISED" (Or whatever you want it to say in your schedule). Make it a type Text, nad in the Forumla box type: if (Current Revision Issued, "X", "").
3. Say OK and close out of edit box.
4. Right click on Current Revision Issued header and click hide column.
Now, as long as the current revision is issued, it will have an X. You may have to play with this a bit if you go through a lot of revisions and reissues, but it shoul dat least get you started. HTH.
EDIT....Sorry, I misread the question and this doesn't answer it......I'll leave it here in case it helps someone else.

WWHub, how do you get that setup to work when you have non-numeric revisions?

TKennedy - I do not understand your question. My schedule works the same letters or numbers.

Thanks TK,
I got the yes/no parameter on there and I was trying to figure out how to replace the yes or no with symbols.
What you are describing with the hidden column and calculated value should work great.
WWH, I found the current revision parameters and I think they work great because they are smart,
but my firm is used to their standards and I'm trying not to make too many waves as I push for "The Big Switch."
Also, what is the status parameter you are using?
Thanks again for the help.

The status parameter is an in-house control value.

WWHub, I misphrased that, I mean numbering is set to none. When I do that, all of the revision columns are blank, it only fills them out when numbering is set to numeric or alphabetic.
The other problem I have with using the revision parameters like that is it only shows the current revision for a sheet, and I (and apparently other folks) need a list showing all issues/revisions.
