Greetings! I am trying to create a new plan for my mechanical and electrical plans. I tried to copy my floor plan sheet using "duplicate with detailing", but all of my linework disappears. My detail lines copy over, but not the linework. I have a lot of linework for ceiliing treatments, eaves, etc and I would hate to have to do it everytime I need to make a new sheet. I tried making a "dependent view" and changing it to be independent, but I still lost the linework. I tried using "dependent views" but I can't turn anything off without it affecting the other sheet. I think it would really be nice to be able to turn things on & off (notes, annotations, sub-categories, etc.) independently (simular to xrefs). Thanks in advance for your help! Oh ya, I'm using Revit 2008.

By 'linework' I'm assuming you are referring to a graphic over-ride using the 'linework' tool [looks like an old fashioned fountain pen icon] If you have used this tool, recognize that these are not 'lines' but view specific graphic over-rides of a portion of an element in that view. Hence, they will not 'copy' as you have discovered. There may be other ways to get the graphic display you desire such as overlaying two views on a sheet.
