Welcome Paul and my compliments on your worthy goal and a young age. This is a great site for encouragement and advice, so make frequent use of the wealth of knowledge here. Take whatever classes you can find and afford that will teach drafting fundamentals, CAD, Revit, etc..

thanks. i need all the help i can get. im trying to find some deals of the revit 2008 software, or revit 9.1. mine is a bit older.

I recommend checking out some design competitions to gain more experience.  You will be able to research such competitions at www.dexigner.com or www.pci.org
