The situation: I've been handed a project that was developed by some architecture students in AutoCAD (see Image 1)and am now trying to re-create in Revit. The most difficult part has been getting the roof just right- somehow, I just can't get it to look right. I spent hours on it and finally managed to make it look somewhat similar to the drawings in plan and elevation, but in 3D the roof dosn't connect properly (see image 2). Included are the roof profiles showing which edges are slope defining (Image 3) and what I've managed to get the front elevation and roof plans to look like in Revit (Image 4). I hope that the JPGs provide enough information; if not, I suppose I can upload a copy of the Revit file. I created each roof from footprint (because that's the only way I know how to make a roof)- would making the roof by another means maybe work better? Any help or input would be appriciated. I'm using Revit 2008. Thank you very much!
