Is there any way to have walls cut slabs? I have a condition where a 8" CMU wall is on a 12" foundation wall, and top of concrete is 8" below top of slab, so the CMU goes through the slab. I know I could model the slabs around the CMU so in section it shows correctly with a 1/2" exp. joint between the slab and CMU, but I would rather just have the walls cut out the slab instead of editing the slabs.

revit will cut the slab out of the wall but not the wall out of the slab.... dont know why. The only way I can think of is to add an opening and constrain it to the outside of the wall. Let me know if you can find a better way. BTW to edit a post click on the #1 (or approperiate #) and then there is a little drop down. If its your post then you can edit it. Took me a while to find that too. HTH Nick

I don't think I get your problem right ... but as I understood I think making a vertical opening constrained to the outside of the wall is the best solution ...
