hi,

is it possible to make arch opennings on a curved wall? When I try to place an arch openning revit doesnt accept it, just on straight walls, and on curved walls i cannot edit the wall profile either just can place a rectangular openning.

Hi there.  The most important thing to do is to create a reference plane close to paralell to the wall you want to cut out of and name it in the properties of it. Now you can go to the modeling tab and on the bottom click create.  It will then ask you which family category you would like to create.  Click on walls.  Now do a void form extrusion.  Click on Set work plane and choose the reference plane you just named.  Now draw the door shape you would like where you would like.  Click finish sketch. Go to a 3d view and then make sure the void extrusion you just made goes through the wall.If it doesnt, just click it and stretch it through the wall. Now click cut geogetry at the top and click the void extrusion and then the wall. this should cut a hole in your wall.  Then click finish family and you should be finished. Rotate and make sure.  Hope that helped.
