quick question-  why would a 2x4 ACT ceiling be represented in ceiling plan oriented in one direction, but when rendered it alters the orientation to the opposite direction?  i am not  able to change the orientation when i sketch the ceiling initially using the tab or spacebar key- am i missing something??

hoping it is a glitch-

The ceiling represents itself in Revit views via the surface pattern applied to the material assigned to the ceiling.  The rendered version of the ceiling is via the AAccurender material applied to the Revit material.  You have limited control of the Accurender material inside of Revit.  You can find the .jpg image being used for the rendering and turn it 90 degrees in Photoshop.  You can also play with the material origin point a little inside of Revit.  For better Accurender materials and tutorials go to www.accustudio.com

To rotate the ceiling pattern Revit displays, TAB to select one of the line and issue the rotate command.

i will try the website first as i have already tried the tab controls-  interesting that the two parts of the program do not talk to each other very well all the time- thank you
