I am trying to use the Spot Dimension / Elevation tag to note the ceiling heights on my RCPs. When I place the tag in the middle of the room it returns the elevation of the top of the ceiling structure, but when I place the tag on the intersection of the ceiling and the wall it returns the elevation of the bottom of the ceiling assembly. For instance, I create a ceiling at 9'0" off of Fin Floor and a spot elevation tag in the center of the room reads 9' 2 1/4" while a tag at the edge reads 9' 0". Once I insert a tag on the edge and get the "correct" elevation I cannot move the leader off of the wall. What can I do, short of lowering all my ceilings to get the spot dimensions to read right?

I wouldn't use spot elevations to define ceiling heights, I only ever use spot elevations to define u'side of slabs where there is no ceiling. To define ceiling heights use ceiling tags, they will report the height of the ceiling defined in its properties. HTH.
