I have been playing w/ the shape editing for slabs and roof.  The help screen talks about sloping roofs on the top surface and leaving the bottom the same as would be used w/ tapered insulation on a flat structure.  I have used the draw points tool and the split lines tool to get the top surface the way I want it but I can't seam to get the material to have a level bottom surface.  I get the right top surface but the material remains a constant thickness so it is no longer on the deck or structure.  Anyone have any ideas on a setting that allows the material to vary in thickness while keeping a level bottom and sloping top?????  I did try attacing the roof system to the joist supports and then using the points tool to get the top surface correct but it still remained a constant thickness and pulled the insulation away from the structure.  HELP!!!

Thanks

I had just found the variable layer item in the floor and roof dialog but the video make all the other features much easier to understand.
