Hi there, I am a confident Revit user just got into it a month ago and still working through most of the tutorials. I am trying to create two items and having much difficulty. 1ST First off I am trying to create a hedge which is 1800mm high, Now I no Autodesk's sample file has a 750mm high hedge within it and I thought I could just edit the height of the hedge for some reason this didnt work. So I found the family file and adjusted the height and tried loading the file back into Revit. But for some reason it did not appear as a generic or railing type. So my question is how can I import this created family and if not how do I edit the sample file hedge height? 2ND I am also trying to create a brand new railing profile, but alot similar to the autodesk residential handrail type, the one that includes newel posts. I can modify this and use it on stairs but I find where I use one straight run of stairs with winders top and bottom the rail associates itself with the 3rd riser and not to the ground level. At the top ive had to create a second rail to link in with the sloping rail type but I am sure there is a way to get the rails to connect and have one at the landing height and now follow the winder heights. Can anyone help with this. I would like to understand it fully but I am finding it difficult to find a specific tutorial for these items? See the files attached to understand my meaning.
