I am using Revit 2008. I am trying to add rigid insulation between the slab and the foundation wall in the foundation of the structure. Can anyone provide the best procedure for doing this. I am attaching an image so you can see where I am trying to place the rigid insulation. Part of the insulation will be between the edge of the slab and the foundation wall notch (at the top of the foundation wall). I do not need it to go all the way to the bottom of the foundation wall. It may stop 1" - 2" above the footing. The other place I am trying to place it is along the inside edge of the foundation wall. Would it be best to use a wall sweep and add this to the foundation wall? What do you advise.

If you want to model the insulation, I would suggest using a sweep. If you need it just for detailing you can create a Line based detail component that is comprised of a filled region to hide any model objects you don't want to see.
