we have some casework that is 7' tall and is showing in the Reflected Ceiling Plan. I have tried editing the family and turning off the view in Floor Plan/RCP visibility options without noticable change. Our office is using Revit 2008. Any advice out there?

Try checking the View Range. Most likely your Cut plane is set to 7'-0" or lower. If so set it to above the height of the tallest cabinet. If this is not the issue then check to see if you have an underlay turned on. This is found in the View Properties.

If anything in the family is cut by your view plane .... including invisible lines, the family will show. If all else fails - you can always just hide the element.
