I am using Revit 2008, we are working on a residential project.  I have grouped individual apartment units together and now I have created detail groups for each that include drafting items such as filled regions.  In the browser I see the model group listed and the detail group attached, however...every where the model group shows up the attached detail group does not. 

 How can I get the desired attached detail group to show up with the designated model group through out the project?

I had the same problem so here's the solution:

You need to change the visibility settings (VV) so that the group displays as "link by view", then select floor plan or whatever view you are in to add the detail group.
