I am using Revit Building 2008, I am trying to render one of my first scenes. However, for some reason the building & signage is turning out grey even though I set up the walls initially to be a sand colored stucco. Any ideas what may be causing the problem? In 3d mode it looks correct, but when I use a camera for a perspective view, no color is showing up except the trim which is also wrong. Any ideas?

Check your Building Phase. If the walls are set to Existing, then they will render Grey.

Everything seems to be set correctly in all views. My phasing is set to the most current (New Construction) and my phase filter is set to "Show Complete". Any other ideas?

First, are you sure you assigned an Accurennder Material to the Revit material that is assigned to the geomerty? (And not just defined what it looked like in a shaded view.) Assuming all of that is done correctly, make certain you are pointing to and have access to the folder where you have stored your Accurender materials. By default Revit puts these directories on your C drive. When our firm first started using Revit, I would define my materials and then set up Renderings on other computers and come back hours later to a gray rendering. We had to move our Material Library to a shared directory and point all the computers there. This is found under Settings - Options - File Locations - Libraries. Hope this helps!

Thanks, I really appreciate the input. Unfortunately, its still not working. I am just a one man show and everything was installed on 1 PC. Nothing was installed on a network. I checked all of my settings & links and they are all set correctly. Thru all of this, I did get my colors to show up on my perspective camera views but I still do not have correct color buildings with the renderings when I select "Raytrace... - GO". For the record, I have a small building and a large building linked to my site plan if that makes a difference. Thanks again........ Anyone else have any suggestions?
