I'm looking to learn how to develop Window Families, and am looking for more information then provided in the training sessions in Revit as well as most books available. I was wondering if anyone knows where i could get additional information on this. On how to build or atleast manage or modify an existing Sector Top window. I would like to try and kill two birds with one stone, so if someone knows where i can build a Single Hung Sector Top that would be fantastic. I don't need to be able to start it from scratch, but at least with the option to modify the frame and allow for resizing than i can go for that too. I have attached a 2D AutoCAD sample of the window i am trying to produce.

Hi Although not a direct answer to your problem, but could I suggets that you dive in and learn to create components / families from scratch. The benefits (in utilising the power of Revit) are vast. I'm currently writing a 17 part series on this whole topic. You may want to have a look..... http://www.revitzone.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=692&Itemid=34 You will then be knocking out top hung windows, or anything else at all; in minutes! Regards, Ian

IDN101; Great article on family creation. I've been patiently waiting for an Intermediate Revit class to cover just this topic. Looks like i may not need it after all. tx

Here is one that I have been working on. It is a single hung resizeable(using family types). Take a look at it and maybe it will help.
