When I create a topo from the Surveyor's .dwg file.  It creates the topo...but not very accuratly.  When I want to trace the existing line that was brought in from CAD Revit can't trace it exactly.  It simplifies it...I don't want it simplified.  Is there a setting I'm missing?

First, topo lines are only approximations and depending on who is drawing them, they can be significantly different.  If you want accuracy, you would be better off importing the points file from the surveyor.  However, if you want to use an existing contour drawing and want your REVIT file to look exactly alike it, use it as an underlay and select poits along each contour line set at the correct elevation for each line.

Seems like a lot of work for something that is only approximate .....

HUB,

I have not tried to bring in the points from the surveyor yet.  I will look into that.  But I have tried to select the points by hand with the correct elevations and it does the same thing.  It does not seem to like it when my countour has a sharp curve in it so it decides to cut it out entirely.

I will try the point survey.  Is that the same thing as the .dwg file?
