I have been attempting to create this roof in Revit for about 6 hours now...

I have an asphault membrane with rigid insulation over metal deck roof. It is essentially a flat roof with 1/4" per 12" slopes toward roof drains which will be located along gridlines 4 and 5 in the attached sketch (1.jpg). I would like to create the slope of the roof in two ways: with the structure and with rigid insulation. The strucutre slopes in one direction (down from gridline 2 to 4 and 6 to 5) - the structure remains flat from gridline 4 to 5 (this can be seen in 1.jpg). I would like to create a slope out of rigid insulation with the high point being halfway between gridlines 4 and 5. Then in the other direction i need to create crickets out of rigid insulation (image 2.jpg). I ended up creating separate overlapping roofs, but now cannot subtract one roof from the other to get hard lines for the valleys for my roof plan.

Does my question make sense? Has anyone had this problem?

I have been working on the exact same problem.  Did you ever come up with a solution?  I have logged a support request with Autodesk and they act like I am trying to invent a new way to build a roof.  It seems that I should be able to use a variable thickness insulation using points modify to make the crickets.  This works great as long as the main roof has no slope.  If I try adding a slope to the roof all of the points are removed.  Grrrr!
