I had been having problems getting some mass elements in a project to print correctly - they appeared solid on the screen, but would print transparent. I discovered the blurb in the help file about raster and vector processing and choosing raster fixed the problem - those masses now print as solids, but im just curious as to why that is - especially since i assigned wood as the material, and from what Ive read the vector/raster will make things like glass print either opaque or transparent (in a hidden line view). any thoughts or direction on this is much appreciated!

Very similar issue. I just couldn't make the background right (it was good in the preview, but not in the pdf) and when I've changed from vector to raster, everything was all right.
