Revit Architecture 2008

I am the ultimate noob. This is my first revit project. I only had 1 basic training course that did not cover much of anything.

Problem 1

How do i attatch an exterior wall with in the interriro of the building to close the gables?

Problem 2

I am having problems joining walls.  That attatch to the roof. Basically i am creating an exterior wall on top of an interiro wall and attatching it to the roof.

Site how do i add parking lots and concrete walkways?

I just drafted them in with lines.

 Thanks!

Use the join geometry tool between your gabeled roof and end walls.

Ok well i tried to join the geometry and cut it. I just cannot find a good example of how to design a 1 story building in revit with multiple gable roofs. I cannot even seem to load a column component for the canopy. This is ver frusterating.

I have uploaded the revit fle if anyone can please explain this to me id be greatful.

IM WONDERING IF YOU HAVE TRIED THE ATTACHED COMMAND . FIRST CLICK ON THE WALL. AFTER THERE WILL BE A SEPERATE TOOLBAR THAT WILL SAY "ATTACH" AND "DETACH" CLICK ON ATTACH AND THEN CLICK ON THE ROOF YOU WANT IT TO ATTACH ITSELF TO.. JOIN AND CUT WILL NOT DO THE SAME .

Yes if you download the .rvt file you will see that the wall is attatched to the roof.
