Using revit arc 2008 I was wondering if anyone knows a good way to create a curved 2x2 act celing, the curve should be from 8'4' at each end up to 10'-0" in the center. thanks!

I would do it as an inplace ceiling using extusion, set up a ref plane, and a section, create in place solid extrusion, select your ref plane as the work plane, choose your section, draw the profile (closed loop) and extrude. you can use voids to cut out unwanted areas. this helps?

Ok, I guess Im a little behind on the revit modeling. I am trying to extrude the celing along a curve i need to draw in elevation, but when i choose "sketch path" it only gives me the option of drawing the line in plan. grrr

okay in plan, draw a ref plane, perpendicular to the curve, and draw a section going the same way. create in place family and use the solid extrusion, select your ref plane as the working plane and go to the section you created before(it will bring a list of available views for you to choose) now you are in the section, draw the profile of your cuerved ceiling, once done, you will be able to go to plan and strech to wherever you want, cut unwanted areas using the void tool.

Many thanks!! I have created a curved celing using your instructions, my only problem is that now I cannot see the 2x2 celing grid in RCP. It does show up great in 3d, however. Is there a setting i need to change to be able to see curved surfaces in RCP?

...mmm, don't think Revit can show it in 2D, you might want to use a field region, though it will be indicative only as your grid won't show all equal in real life...
