I'm sure this is something simple, but I have two types of elevation families.  Interior and Exterior.  On the site plan I want to turn off the interiors and show the exteriors.  But in my VV they are all under just one category with no subcategories.  So I can't turn off just interiors.  Does anyone have a solution to this rather than me individually selecting all and hiding in view?

Thanks,

Lorne

Highlight an interior elevation symbol in your site plan view, right click and select all instances (this should select all interior elevation symbols). Right click again and select Hide in view - elements. Or for pre 2008 version Hide annotation in view.

Another approach is to set a value in the 'hide at scales courser than' box in the properties of the elevation.  For instance your floor plans are at 1/8" scale and you want the elevation markers not to show on the site plan which is at 1:200.  Then set the properties of the elevation to not display at scales smaller than 1/8".  See the attached image for further explanation.
