Hello everybody! I am new to Revit and I am putting my first project together. I am having a problem with visability on the roof framing plan. I used a roof to show my 1/2" sheathing, and I have trusses and beams under the sheathing. My first problem is the trusses. Most of the trusses are visible, except when they get to be too far below the roof sheathing. I attached a pdf that shows a truss that dissappears below an upper roof, but the other trusses show up. I know I can use the linework tool to make the lines visible, but it changes the line type scale (AutoCAD command) so it does not match the other trusses. Second problem, I have exposed beams that I would like to show on the framing plan. Because the beams are below the sheathing, the beams are not showing up. If the beam is above the roof, it shows up. Again, I know I can used the linework tool, but I don't have the flexibility of line weight and line types. To the left of the pdf is dark centerlines representing r.s. rafters... but the beams below them are not showing up. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help! MB

Difficult to diagnose without looking at the file and the way you have your view setup. Remember if you are using the linework tool you can pick from any linetype in your lines setup. It does not change the linetype scale as you suggest, you are just using a linetype that is of a different scale. If you don't have a linetype setup for what you need, simply create one in your settings that matches the object style of your beams... Try adjusting your view range->view depth settings to see lower to ensure that all trusses are within the view range. HTH.

Thank you Mr. Spot for getting back to me. I am not sure if I can put the whole Revit file on this post, but it should be here. I am zoomed into the framing portion I am having a problem with. All of the trusses running vertical are the same, except one. Notice there is one truss in the middle that the area around the ridge is missing. I changed that truss from a 4:12 to a 3:12 pitch to help illustrate the problem I'm having. The (2) trusses to the right are being "covered" by the roof above even though the other trusses are not. That is why I came to the conclusion that when the truss gets a certain distance from the roof, it does not show. If that is the case, is there a way to change that distance? I know I am not explaining this very well. Thank you for your help!
