I've created a new component (tree I want to display in 3D model views) and inserted a detail component within the plan view (A more detailed plan). However when I insert the component into a project the detail component ends up to be five times the size it should be. All the other elements in the component are fine, I've checked project units and they all match. I'm stumped. Someone please help!

plant families symbols are the only ones that scale and they do so based on the height parameter of the tree. So what you want to do is to create a plant family with the symbols you want the nest that into a second plant family, then it will scale based on the tree ht. pretty cool actually, you can create some awesom tree using dwg elevation and plan symbols this way.
