I have walls meeting at a 45 degrees angle. In the case they do not join in a clean way I join the geometry and in most of the cases it works, I get a nice and clean wall joint in plan view. please notice that walls may not be linked to the same level at the top but surely intersect for at least 1 floor. I keep workingon ather parts of the building and sometimes when I go back to the same plan view I have to fix the same problem with the same walls again, as if revit just forgot about it.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

Are you using worksets? If so, this is a known issue of which i have discussed with the factory on numerous times...
If not then it shouldn't happen. Typically you should not have walls going over multiple levels unless they are to interact with other walls exactly the same on all levels.
That is, a wall end can only have one join property, it can't have one join type at one level and then change to another join type for the next level for different instances. If this is the case, split the wall in elevation to allow the joins to be independent.

yes, I am using worksets. do you think I can go around this creating walls on a level by level basis?
Thanks, your advice is extremely appreciated.

It really depends on how the wall has to interact with other elements at different points up the wall.
If there needs to be more than one different wall joint at a point the use two separate walls. You can lock the walls to each other (they will most likely align themselves however) so they move as one anyway. So changes shouldn't be too much of an issue. Also check that the walls that are to interact are of the same workset as if you do not have control of both the worksets needed to complete a wall join then revit will unjoin them.

Mr Spot,
First thank you very much for your valuable advice.
Then here comes a question:
I have Acad and 3D Studio max in my background and I have been playing around with Revit for a couple of weeks and I find it extremely powerful. I have been working on simple cases like tutorials do. Now I am testing it on a real case of an existing building to be renovated with the hope of producing drawings for schematic as well as CDs.
Is this known issue with worksets a major limitation in the workflow? I did not experience the same issue of wall joints working on an individual project and I also noticed that those changes in the geometry happen often after saving to central.
Do you have any workaround to suggest while this issue gets fixed by Autodesk?
Best,
