Hello there,

Our office is beginning to make the switch from Revit 9.1 to Revit 2008.  I am curious however what needs to be done about our Imperial libraries as well as Imperial Templates etc, etc.  We have our Imperial Library on our network drive in order to allow any person working on the project to upload library objects and we will have access to them from another computer.  My question is: can we use the same Imperial library?  Or do we need to copy the default Imperial Library folder from our C: drive into our network drive?  I assume 2008 has more library objects and can probably only be read in 2008.

I am also looking for any suggestions you may have for helping us make an easier switch.  Thanks,

Lorne

You can use both if needed. Just go to Settings<Options<File Locations and browse to your library & template locations.

When you load the program, it wiull come with it's new library.  You can still use your old one too.  I would suggest that as you use families that you made in an earlier version, you save these in the new directort because it takes time to convert each family.  You can also do a mass conversion somehow ... do a search on this list to find out if your interested.
