Well the matchline tool looks like a good start but it needs work. What I need to do is be able to define a matchline for 1/4" scale plans and a match line for 1/8" scale plans. I can create a sub category for both under match line but i can not figure out how to place the match lines assigned to the two different subcategories. If I were abe to I could contorl them in visibility graphics.

Use Visibility/Graphics overrides in View Templates - one for 1/8" and one for 1/4", and then set these as default view templates to the respective views and apply.

mjbednarczyk, you do not say what version of Revit you are using.I will assume Revit Architecture 2008good tip laurabh, to make a "view template" with the annotation matchline turned off in 1/8" and on in 1/4" in the VG.the other thing I wanted to add was after you make a matchline, also add a "View Reference" to both ends of the line . This parameter will allow you to click on it and be taken to the connecting corresponding view."See A-101.1 for south plan" To do it:Go to a view that the matchline is drawn in , and from the "VIEW" menu, right below, "matchline" you will see "View Reference"This is in Revit Architecture 2008
