Our office is working on Revit 2008 and we are noticing one major disturbance. When creating dashed/demolished lines with a heavy line weight, each segment is rounded at the ends. We need dashed lines that are square at the corners of each segment. How can we change the settings to make this happen. Also, when printing our files, heavy line weights create rounded corners on elements. i.e. when we print an elevation, the corners of a wall are rounded with a heavier line weight. is this problem fixable?

You can't fix this and it has been one of my complaints also. Please add your voice in the autodesk's site for REVIT asking them to correct this. Your work around is to add thin lines at the corners. Might be able to setup a thin line bordered fill detail element that uou could place in corners but what a pain.
