Hi im a student from Denmark and we just started using Revit 2008. Its a very good programme but im having some problems.

First i dont know how to make a skeleton framing. Ive attacted a picture of how it looks. Can anybody help?

And ive made a railing on my roof but my roof is 2.5 degrees and the railing dont follow it?

When im making a section though the building it doesnt display any details. See attached picture. Example where the wall is joining the roof. It would be nice if i could insert a detail from Autocad or something like that. Smile

Skeleton Framing would have to be built. Out of 3d parts. Revit will not do it automatically out of the box. As far as rails.. Rails will host on floors, stairs, ramps, but not ceilings, roofs, walls,.... You need change your "Roof" to a "Floor" and the rail wil host to it.

Ok i figured out the railing. I also changed it in 3D to be aligned with the floor.

But how did you make a skeleton framing. Im building inner walls and they are ofcourse skeleton frames. But i have no idea how to build them. Is there a video i can see?

I think you would have to create a family, that would be a typ stud, in 3d.  Then copy that family every 16in or however many cm (america refuses to smart up and use metric ).
