Pick your Drafting tag and establish where you what you want your ellipse to look like using linework and the ellipse tool. I suggest you pick either the center of your walls or the outside. Then go back to modeling, pick your wall type and point to the linework.... delete the lines and your done!

Thanks, but I'm not sure that I understand everything... I draw an ellipse line while I'm on the basics tab, after, when I go to modelling and I pick a wall type, I can't point to the line work. It's like if a want to create a brand new wall. It doesn't refer to the line I just draw...

After you pick your wall type - look on your options bar. You probably have the pencil "line" tool. Insyead, pick the arrow "pointer" tool. You can then point at your lines.

I just tried to make a wall with the line method. I was able to make straight lines into walls but not the elipse lines.

Darn ... your right! I guess I had never tried that. However, the process does work wth arc's. I suggest you create your ellipse using the old drafting process of using 4 arcs or just overlay the REVIT ellipse with arc segments that approximate it. I would think you would want to do the 4 arc geometry anyway so that it can be asily described - dimensioned.
