I am trying to create a site plan. Both with new redesigned site contours and also with old existing contours on the site. Is there a way to show both with the existing as dased lines? Someone mentioned it might have to do with phases but I don't know what that is. Thanks.

Does anyone know how to do this? I started to mess with the topography. Revit help says to take your topo and put it on existing phase. Then go and us the Graded Region tool and start moving contours. This will automatically place it on the New Construction Phase. Well when I do this my topo and site model turns neon colors. It shows two topography maps overlapping. Is there a way to do this differently? I am more concerned about the plan view. I want existing contours to be dashed and new contours to be solid lines showing where the new grade is. Does anyone know how to do this? or should I just draw it in CAD and import it as a link .dwg? Thanks, Lorne PS-if you need an image to show this I can get you one. Thanks.

Did you ever find a solution to this? My firm shows contours the same way. I cannot find a way to show both. I hate to have to do the site plans in AutoCAD.

No I didn't figure this out. I only figured out how to make the primary contours heavy and the secondary contours lighter. So unfortunately, I have not found a way to do this. Does anyone know how to do this? Is it even a possibility in Revit 2008??
