1- What is the best way to creat down spout (See attached Images) 2- How can I create a shadow on the elevations, so the walls that are offset stand out from the recessed (see image front en back elevation) 3- How can I create leaders representin the roof slope and how the water will drain toward the downspout 4- Why when I make changes such as text and dimensions on my floor plans, elevations, etc... do not reflect on my view sheet. Only when I make changes to a wall and other elements show but not with text and dimension. I created a duplicate with detailing of my floor plan and used that duplicate to my viewport however when adding or deleting text on the main floor plan view changes don't reflect on my duplicate, any ideas why? I checked im my visibility graphics and all of them are on. Why is it so much easier to alter things in AutoCAD than revit?

Some of your questions are not clear but here are a few answers. 1 - Download the downspout family on this site and modify it as needed. 2 - For elevations, just turn on your shadows. 3 - Haven't got a clue of what your asking. 4.- Text, dimensions, 2d linework are only on the views you create them in. Duplicated views are only duplicated at the time. Later added items to the original are not added to the copy. You have to r-duplicate it or manually add. 5 - REVIT is so much easier than AutoCAD but only when you quit fighting it. You have to learn that you just shouldn''t "cheat" like you were always forced to in AutoCAD.

Just to add: 3- I have attached 2 detail families for you, that will do what you want, pick the one the suite you more. 4-you can duplicate your floor plans as Dependent Views, this is a new feature in 2008, it means that what ever you do in the parent view will show in the others, very handy
