I am doing a color floor plan and I have some stairs that are going to the floor below.  The view is set to hidden line and the view range is set so that the bottom and view depth are set to the current level (not the level below).  There is no underlay in the view.  So, there must be some property of stairs that overrides the view range setting because I see my stairs going down until the floor masks the treads below.  That is an issue but it isn't the main issue here.

When I turn on the color fill scheme, my stair treads that were masked by the floor above now display as if the floor were transparent (which it is not).  All stair treads of the entire stair are displayed, regardless of whether there is an object above it.  When I turn the color scheme back to none, everything looks correct.  It is only with the color scheme that this happens.

Anyone have this problem or have a decent workaround for it?

I would try to use the room separation line tool to see if that helps.
