As far as we know Revit still doesn't have this option

You can do it manually, by changing the Phasing

Select the object you want to be View properties... > Phasing >

Phase created > Existing

Phase demolished > None

Your lines will be gray.

Phase created > Existing

Phase demolished > New construction

Your lines will be hidden lines.

Phase created > Existing

Phase demolished > Existing

Your lines will disapear.

Phase created > New constuction

Phase demolished > New constuction

Your lines will be blue hidden lines.

Phase created > New construction

Phase demolished > Existing

Can't do it.

In this case these lines are in a Section view. The thing is... The lines will also change in every view. Some lines may change the element into red colors.

I would do a separate final file and change these lines and use the images only with the views you want.

Well, this is a way. Don't know if people knows anything different.

Hope it will help Smile

You can add the linetypes in your family but they will not be a linetype in your project.  They will show up in VG in the category your family is in.

Our office has set up varied linetypes with different weights into the revit template model. It's the same types in all our component and profile templates as well. As long as the linestyle you use is also in the project model, then you should be good to go.
